Bern Community Building

The large main room is approximately 75 x 50 ft in size with open beam construction and acoustical soffits for excellent noise control. This room can easily accommodate 300 people. There is a PA system, CD, DVD, VHS players, projection television, and local phone service available in the main room.

The small social room has a recommended capacity of 40 to 50 people. It is ideal for card parties, luncheons, meetings, and smaller gatherings. The large kitchen has ample counter space for food preparation and serving. The counters which open to the main room have blinds which can be pulled for privacy in the kitchen area. The appliances include two Maytag Gemini stoves that offer both standard and convection oven capabilities with four different ovens. A side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, coffee pots, and a growing assortment of utensils, silverware, cups, and other supplies are available for use.

Access to the community center's exercise room is available to adults 18 years or older participating in the yearly membership program. A fee of $30.00 a year is requested to receive a key to the building and the entry pad code. New equipment has been acquired for the community building through a grant received by the Bern School. Sign-up for this program can be done at the State Bank of Bern.
